Mike Turnbull's Tales From The Lakes - A Virtual Gig by Cumbrian Arts Online

We met up with Kendal's own Mike Turnbull and he played an exclusive private gig for us, using his modern folk style to tell Tales From The Lakes.

Including stories inspired by the last king of Cumbria, Pirates of the Caribbean, and the iconic Heart Shaped Wood next to the M6, Mike's multiple instruments and dynamic energy leads us across the county of Cumbria.

Mike Turnbull is a modern folk singer-songwriter from Grange-on-Sands. When he isn't gigging with his three-piece, The Safe Kings, or playing solo with his tenor guitar, mandola and banjo, Mike writes songs and tales about his home county and the locations and landscapes contained within, much like a modern-day bard.

Cumbrian Arts Online is a new initiative from the Eden Valley Artistic Network and 1Five Events & Film. All money raised goes back to supporting artists in Cumbria.
